About The Role:
A boutique luxury interior design studio, renowned for its elegant and opulent projects, is looking for a Studio & HR Manager to join their office on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract. Please note that our client is looking for someone to join the team from mid-September.
Reporting to the Operations Director and working alongside an external HR Consultant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the welcoming studio, holding responsibility for building maintenance, IT, telephone systems, HR admin and general office coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, be ambitious, adaptable, and confident taking initiative in a fast-paced environment. Our client is looking for someone who is proactive, collaborative, and personable, with a positive, can-do attitude and excellent attention to detail. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a similar role, or a strong coordinator ready to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing building operations such as fire drills, risk assessments, and building checks and redesigns
- Ensuring all training has been fulfilled including office security, GDPR, health and safety, and first aid/fire marshal practices
- Ensuring that security systems are operating correctly, i.e., intruder and fire alarms
- Updating records when new keys and fobs are issued
- Administer training and presentations for new and existing employees
- Be attuned to disruptions or issues that may affect the team’s day-to-day wellbeing
- Oversee the recruitment process of new employees
- Handle staff contracts and payroll
- Responsible for recording staff absences, annual leave, and informing the Associate Director regularly
- Manage reviews involving new starter inductions, company ethos, and the studio manual
- Organising team socials and activities throughout the year
- Troubleshooting
- Frequent communication with IT companies
- Managing tasks such as maintenance agreements and IT security to ensure all systems are running smoothly
- Ensuring the IT equipment and software is updated and working efficiently

Key Skills / Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years working in Office Management/HR, ideally within the creative industry
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office software
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathic communicator for the team
- Excellent time management, administrative, and attention to detail skills
- A genuine interest in interior design
- Strong initiative with a meticulous approach
- Enthusiastic and motivated in their ability to continually learn and grow
