Study Mentor – The Leys College
About the Role
Activate Learning are recruiting for a Study Mentor to join our team at The Leys College.
We are looking for a creative individual who acts as a strong role model and has a genuine desire to work with and change the lives of young people. The purpose of this permanent, part-time (22.5 hours per week: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday during term-time) role is to:
- Work closely with students
- Assist them in developing employability and academic skills
- Ensure progression into further/higher education or employment
Responsibilities
Successfully funded individuals who:
- Have a positive attitude and contribute to an inclusive learning environment
- Use individualised coaching and support to help learners overcome barriers to learning
- Apply a range of support models (1:1 coaching, small-group sessions, and occasional classroom assistance)
- Demonstrate strong team values, a desire to innovate, and the ability to adapt to learners' changing needs

- Strong role modelling skills and adaptability

- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
