Contact Centre Team Leader
Summary
This Critical educational role involves delivering Child Care vocational qualifications to learners aged 16-18, funded by DfE (Department for Education). The position is based within our vibrant Study Programme, supporting learners' progress in both technical qualifications and foundational Functional Skills (English & Maths up to Level 1).
Role Objective
You’ll enable young learners to achieve recognised vocational qualifications in childcare, equipping them with the skills for future careers. Your work directly enhances learner employability—optimising progression in education and skills development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Child Care vocational qualifications to DfE-funded learners (ages 16-18) within our Study Programme curriculum
- Lead small groups of learners through structured Level 2+ certificated courses, ensuring compliance with assessment standards
- Align pedagogical approaches to meet DfE and Ofqual expectations, including progress tracking and accountability
- Teach supplementary Functional Skills in English and Maths (Level 1) as required as part of the educational roadmap
- Foster strong engagement and motivation, providing personalised support for underperforming learners
- Balance lesson design with assessment rigour to guarantee measurable progress and attainment

- 90%+ Pass Rate in all vocational assessments within cohort timelines
- 100% learner uptake for supplementary Functional Skills development

- Consistency in submitting timely progress reports to DfE/EFA systems

Requirements
Essential
- Mandatory: Tearsired Child Care vocational certification at Level 2 or above
- Funded Education qualifications (e.g., Level 4 or above in teaching/skills) or equivalent recent teaching experience
- PTLLS/TTT Certified or similar^ (preferred)
- Familiarity with DfE-funded policies in vocational study programmes, including code of conduct requirements
Desirable
- Pedagogic expertise in Functional Adult Literacy (Level 1)
- Proven ability to develop learner confidence in vocational settings
- Experience using e-assessment tools such as Highfields Online (HLT)
