Randstad Student Support is currently seeking dedicated SpLD (Specific Learning Difficulties) Tutors for the upcoming academic year at the University of Lincoln.
All successful candidates must be able to travel to the university and flexibly offer both in-person and online sessions to meet student preferences.
Role Overview
As a Specialist One-to-One Study Skills Support Worker with Randstad, you will provide learning support and academic guidance. This includes creating an individual learning plan tailored to the student's needs that encourages them to become an independent learner.
As a Specialist One-to-One Study Skills Support Worker, you are required to support students to:
- Develop independence.
- Build on strengths and learning strategies.
- Create strategies for organization and time management.
- Create action plans to stay on track with studies.
- Build on research skills: widening knowledge by using a variety of sources.
- Distinguish appropriate sources and how to correctly use references.
- Build on comprehension skills in reading and writing.

Requirements For The Role
As this is a specialist role, you must hold membership with one of the below relevant professional bodies. All students you will be supporting are funded by the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) meaning all candidates providing this role must adhere to the qualification framework set out by the DfE:
- British Dyslexia Association (BDA)
- Professional Membership The Association of Dyslexia (ADSHE)
- Dyslexia Guild
- The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS)

Desirable Skills Include
- Experience of working with clients with specific learning difficulties
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to identify ways of helping students to build on their learning strengths whilst maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship

- Ability to manage a caseload of students
