Stylist – Photo Studio Team
The Stylist role at NEXT’s Photo Studio will help deliver high-quality photography for our second-to-none brand. You’ll have a direct impact on how customers experience our products as you make full use of your creative skills, style expertise, and flair to create stunning still-life and interior imagery.
Our fast-paced studio environment gives you the freedom to develop your craft under the guidance of our Senior and Creative Lead.
About the Role
You’ll play a central role in delivering sharp, inspiring photography by bringing a range of set-ups to life—from intricate stylings of floristry and bedding to practical experiments with food and tabletop arrangements.
You’ll seamlessly support five or more teams, quickly adapting to work across budgeting, photography direction, and on-the-ground shoots in a multitude of settings, including NEXT studios, external venues, and locations.
Key Responsibilities (Divided into four clear sections!)
1. Styling & Executions
- Style everything from tabletop arrangements to floristry, with a crucial focus on homely product immersion
- Employ food and drink styling to create authentic, engaging CGI cuts or e-commerce imagery
- Develop creative tabletop set-ups, props, and interior shots—consistently shaping our brand’s high-tempo output
2. Studio & Product Coordination
- Collaborate across five teams to hit productivity goals, often switching setups and meeting deadlines simultaneously
- Inform and enhance overall style guides to maintain consistency in photography
- Work closely with photographers, project managers, and other studio teams to guarantee every shoot thrives
3. Trend & Research
- Create engaging mood boards and product trend collages, promoting innovation
- Stay ahead of home interior and lifestyle trends to shape evolving visual storytelling
- Monitor competitor activity and inform visual strategies

4. Logistics & Travel
- Adapting to Another studio, off-site locations, and demanding schedules on short notice—your flexibility works for NEXT!
Key Requirements
Professional Qualities
- Leadership in styling: Proven expertise in commercial still-life and interior styling, with a creative portfolio for E-Commerce, editorial, and product cuts
- Patience under pressure: Fast-moving environment—calm clarity, transparency, and initiative in a high-turnaround studio
- Collaborative problem-solving: Succinct communication, teamwork, and the ability to embrace new direction and multi-faceted attempts with openness
- Technical aptitude: Full confidence with Mac systems, and hands-on experience with ironing, pressing, and high-end product prep
- Constant observational skills: A sharp eye for home trends, lifestyle aesthetics, and competitive market shifts
- Tactical organisation: Relentless attention to detail when juggling multiple shoots, including scheduling and logistics
- Leadership with confidence: Ability to guide and inspire colleagues to thrive in studio environment
- A full UK driving license: Essential for external shoots and opportunite work
Portfolio Curriculum
- Must provide a showcase of high-value still-life & interior work, hosted on a stand-out site, personal blog, or other portfolio format
