Sub-Agent – Earthworks Portfolio (Southern Renewables Enterprise)
VolkerFitzpatrick, a specialist in civil engineering, infrastructure, and building services, contributes to essential projects across the nation, from strategic national schemes to critical private/public sector works. Our portfolio includes highways, airports, railway infrastructure, and commercial/industrial/educational buildings.
We are seeking a Sub-Agent to join our rapidly growing team, supporting the delivery of Southern Renewables Enterprise schemes in the Earthworks Portfolio, covering Wessex and Sussex routes.
About the Role
As a Sub-Agent, you will take ownership of project tasks, ensuring seamless delivery across rail and civil engineering projects. This role requires technical expertise, strong project management skills, and experience in high-volume Field Operations Management within a Network Rail Infrastructure environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing contract delivery on agreed budgets.
- Providing high-level technical advice to teams and senior management.
- Contributing to risk management and financial monitoring of adaptations.
- Liaising with key stakeholders (including Client Teams, Subcontractors, and Sub-Agents)。
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and safety standards.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience in network rail infrastructure project delivery.
- A working knowledge of rail operations, Earthworks, and heavy highways vehicles.
- Field operations modelling and scheduling experience.
- PTS qualified, with a preference for CITB SMSTS or equivalent.
- Valid CSCS card.
- CDM regulations knowledge and Work Package Plans/Task Briefing Sheets expertise.
- Strong understanding of Safety, Quality, and Environmental (SQE) requirements.
- Ability to drivenite handedly manage and implement safe systems of work.
