Subcontract Administrator – Lockheed Martin Space
Location: Havant, Hampshire, UK Salary: £49,000–£61,000 + Competitive Benefits + Bonus Contract: 37.5 hours per week (4-day working week option available)

The Role
You’ll be a key part of Lockheed Martin’s Supply Chain Management Team (SMT), reporting to the Supply Chain Lead for LMUK Space.
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary interface with third-party suppliers for capture opportunities and ongoing programmes
- Oversee complex satellite programmes, ensuring adherence to all aspects of contractual obligations:
- Commercial, cost, technical, schedule, and quality metrics
- Collaborate with programme management, customers, and vendors to develop integrated supply chain solutions
- Drive successful project delivery by leveraging domain expertise and problem-solving capabilities
- Engage with project management offices (PMO) and maintain direct interactions with external suppliers

Key Scope
- Develop next-generation secure military communication satellites for the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD)
- Ensure resilient, high-performance connectivity for UK defence operations globally
- Support £100+ million North East space sector investment, including manufacturing in County Durham
- Work alongside NESST (North East Space Skills & Technology Centre), nurturing talent and fostering innovation
- Deliver tangible national and regional impact through world-class technical projects
Requirements
Technical & Experience
- Expertise in procurement, commercial acumen, financial control, and cost analysis
- Proven record of delivering on multi-functional, multi-layered space, defence, or high-complexity programmes
- Experience with UK MoD programmes and similar military/defence contracts
- Ability to operate under pressure in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Self-motivated with analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confidence in working independently and collaboratively as part of cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with supply chain procedures and supplier relationship management

Security Clearance & Flexibility
- UK Citizenship required
- SC Security Clearance or eligibility to achieve it
- Willingness to travel as needed for work commitments (UK and abroad)
Qualification & Experience (LMPeople Criteria)
- Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution + 6 years of professional experience
- Accelerated Path:
- Bachelor’s degree + 4 years of experience with a master’s degree
- Career/journey-level position, open to applicants with equivalent qualifications, transferable skills, or degree-exempt role experience
