Subcontract Administrator – Advanced Manufacturing

At Jacobs, we’re challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world’s most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, and cutting-edge manufacturing. Our work transforms abstract ideas into realities that change the world for the better.

About the Role

You will be responsible for contracting standard to complex professional and/or construction services in Advanced Manufacturing. As the Subcontract Administrator, you’ll take a leading role on smaller projects (with a Total Installed Cost of $50M or less) while applying best practices and expertise to resolve issues autonomously with minimal oversight.

In this role, you’ll conduct procurement transactions, ensure task efficiency, and integrate procurement seamlessly with project functions—adhering to company policies and delivering high-impact results.

This position reports directly to the Director of Supply Management, Advanced Manufacturing (AM) and indirectly to the Project Procurement Manager (PPM), Project Manager, or Construction Manager for assigned projects.

Join us if you’re driven by curiosity, passion for innovation, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while making tangible impacts—together, we turn ideas into transformative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and issuance of Request for Proposal (RFP) packages
  • Administration of bid packages throughout the bid cycle
  • Hosting and coordinating pre-bid meetings with bidders and project teams
  • Review and receipt of proposals
  • Tabulating and organizing proposals
  • Conducting clarification meetings with bidders and project stakeholders
  • Preparing commercial bid evaluations
  • Negotiating terms and conditions with bidders, with final agreements coordinated through the legal department
  • Routing award documentation for procurement among project teams
  • Drafting subcontract award documents and issuing them to successful bidders
  • Managing pre-award meetings
  • Processing and managing subcontractor invoices
  • Overseeing change orders and risks, including asserting against disputes and claims
  • Performing subcontract close-out activities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
