Subject Leader of Drama / English – Hodge Hill Girls’ School

We are seeking an outstanding and enthusiastic Subject Leader of Drama able to teach English, with the vision to develop Drama within our school while contributing to a successful English department.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will:

  • Lead the strategic development of Drama, fostering high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspire students to develop creativity, confidence, and performance skills.
  • Teach English across KS3 & 4, working collaboratively with an experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver excellent classroom practice with high expectations for student achievement.
  • Cultivate a passion for Drama and English while guiding both subjects.
  • Develop and implement a dynamic, inclusive Drama curriculum.
  • Demonstrate leadership and organisational skills to drive improvement.
  • Raise student achievement through subject-specific and pastoral support.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities—including school productions.
