Overview This is a great opportunity, joining our existing project teams working and supporting our customers with Systems Engineering requirements. You will work with a consultative approach while building strong relationships with our customers as a team, communicating with stakeholders at a variety of seniority levels and provide a high standard of System Engineering. All our consultants are adaptable and open to work across multiple sectors while being part of the team here at Expleo. The Marine Engineering Submarine (MESM) subject matter expert (SME) is responsible for gathering the technical data to support the courseware & media development programme. The MESM SME will have suitable Knowledge, Skills and Behaviour and will understand the technical data required, the sources of that data and how to access that data. The Requirements Team SME’s will work with the Courseware and Media Teams to identify technical data requirements for the development of Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) courseware and media. Having identified the data requirements, the Requirements Team SME will work with the courseware and media content developers to contextualise training and language and ensure correct conditions and standards are applied to the training. Responsibilities Within this role you will be supporting a team of Systems Engineers and training team specialists working on Marine Simulation/Training Equipment. Work as a member of the wider team responsible for the analysis, design, maintenance, review and production of DSAT Documentation & processes for our Customer’s training sites and organisations. Interviewing subject matter experts to collate required data, participate in internal workshops to discuss and agree findings from analysis. Work with the customer and the customer’s agents and suppliers to identify technical data required for courseware and media development and also external routes to obtain the data. Work with the courseware and media content developers to contextualise training and language and ensure correct conditions and standards are applied to the training solution. Conduct the upkeep, update and revalidation of course technical data. Identify where training methods and media currently in use in the Customer may be exploited to better develop and deliver the Programme’s courseware. Be ‘Responsible for championing and fostering a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement. Any other duties required to complete the CMDC Training Service. Qualifications Foundation Degree in Engineering or similar scientific based qualification. Essential skills Proven at sea experience as a CAT A2 Nuclear watchkeeper. A High Experienced Cat B Nuclear Watchkeeper will be considered Desired skills Experience with training needs analysis Experience as a trainer Training Design Experience Extensive experience in MESM role PWR 2.
