Sub-Sampling Technician (Part-Time, Permanent)

The Role
We are looking for a Sub-Sampling Technician in the Logistics department based in Coventry, West Midlands. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career in environmental sciences.
Key Details
- Days per week: Saturday and Sunday (08:00 – 16:00)
- Contract: Part-time, permanent
- Hours per week: 15
- Annual salary: £10,491.08
- Closing date: Tuesday 30th June 2026

The Day-to-Day
Your role will include:
- Ensuring samples are sub-sampled as soon as possible after receipt to comply with stability times
- Guaranteeing homogeneity in aliquot delivery to the laboratory
- Meeting hourly sub-sampling targets
- Complying with ISO 17025 and the Company quality management system
- Sorting samples in stability order for laboratory distribution
- Checking and responding to emails throughout the day
- Filtering wastewater samples
- Rotating sample crates in and out of the cold room

The Essentials
To apply, you must have:
- Three GCSEs at Grade C (new Grade 4) or above, including Science, Maths, and English
- IT skills, including proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and the ability to use in-house software after training
- The ability to learn new software
- The capacity to work to tight deadlines
- Accuracy in your work
- Strong communication skills
