Subscriptions Promotions Manager (part-time)
Salary: £27,000 per annum (£45,000 p.a. full-time equivalent) Location: Hybrid: Working time split between your Home and our London Office Hours: Part-time (21 hours per week) Reports to: Publishing Director
At Premier, the UK’s Christian Media Mission Agency, our mission is to help people encounter God through media and experience renewal. We create thoughtful, biblically grounded content that reaches Christians from all backgrounds through radio, magazines, podcasts, digital platforms and more.
We’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded Subscriptions Promotions Manager to help shape the future growth of our print and digital magazine brands. This is a unique opportunity for someone who combines strong commercial instincts with a passion for Christian media and audience engagement.
Role Overview
As our Subscriptions Promotions Manager, you’ll own and drive the acquisition, retention, and growth of Premier’s print and digital magazine subscribers.
Key activities include:
- Working closely with editorial, marketing, data, digital telemarketing, and events teams
- Acting as the single point of accountability for subscription performance
- Creating and delivering a subscription growth strategy
- Using data to make informed decisions about pricing, offers, and paywalls
- Leading cross-functional initiatives to deliver sustainable growth in recurring revenue
- Focusing on optimising pricing and offers, improving subscriber journeys, and reducing churn
- identifying new opportunities to increase revenue
This is a senior commercial role with significant accountability and influence, ideal for someone who enjoys data-driven experimentation and collaboration to drive measurable results.

Key Responsibilities
- Own subscriber acquisition, retention, and growth targets with clear KPIs
- Lead subscription performance reviews and trading discussions
- Develop, optimise, and deliver on pricing, offers, and promotions strategies
- Shape subscription and paywall strategies through data-led decision-making
- Manage the entire subscriber lifecycle, from acquisition to retention and win-back
- Reduce churn by analysing insights and improving strategies
- Oversee subscription acquisition across channels including:
- Email campaigns
- Website optimisation
- Radio promotions
- Podcast integrations
- Social media marketing
- Events engagement
- Explore innovative ways to grow audiences and subscriptions
- Partner with editorial teams to maximise engagement with existing subscribers
- Lead audience insight and research initiatives
- Guide marketing teams in investment allocation for optimised growth
About You
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience in managing and growing subscriptions, memberships, or recurring revenue
- Strong, data-driven understanding of:
- Acquisition funnels
- Retention strategies
- Churn mitigation
- Customer lifetime value (CLV)
- Experience collaborating across marketing, editorial, and data teams
- Confidence in making commercial decisions on pricing, offers, and conversion pathways
- Experience implementing a test-and-learn approach
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable:
- Background in publishing, magazines, or the wider media industry
- Knowledge of the UK Christian community
