Job Title: Senior Subsea Structure & Tie-in Engineer
Location: Basingstoke, UK
Contract Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 12 Months (Annually Renewable)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Subsea Structure & Tie-in Engineer to support worldwide offshore deepwater projects. The successful candidate will support engineering activities related to subsea structures and tie-in systems throughout all phases of project development, from feasibility and concept studies through FEED, execution, installation, commissioning, and handover to operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute major EPCI packages for offshore subsea structure and tie-in systems throughout all project phases, including:
- Feasibility Studies
- Conceptual Studies
- Front End Engineering Design (FEED)
- Call for Tender
- Engineering
- Procurement
- Fabrication
- Testing
- Installation
- Commissioning
- Ensure subsea structure and tie-in system designs comply with project requirements, applicable codes, international standards, and engineering best practices while optimizing project costs and reducing risks.
- Prepare technical documentation related to subsea structure and tie-in systems throughout all project phases, including Conceptual Studies, FEED packages, tender documentation, and contract packages.
- Support supplier tendering activities, including technical qualifications, clarifications, evaluations, and recommendations.
- Follow up fabrication, testing, interface management, packing, and load-out activities related to subsea structures and tie-in systems.
- Support offshore installation, commissioning, start-up, and operational activities related to subsea structures and tie-in systems.
- Maintain extensive awareness of applicable design standards and engineering requirements for subsea structures and tie-in systems.

Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Subsea Structure & Tie-in Engineer across all phases of offshore project development, from concept through execution and handover to operations.
- Experience in the technical design of subsea structures including:
- Manifolds
- PLEMs
- PLETs
- ILTs
- PLRs
- Tie-in systems
- Experience from preliminary engineering through detailed design, including interface management with subsea and installation systems.
- Experience participating in:
- Design Reviews
- Safety Reviews
- HAZOP
- HAZID
- Risk Assessments
- Experience supervising contractors, suppliers, equipment, and engineering deliverables.
- Experience supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), pre-commissioning, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Experience acting as Company Representative for subsea structure and tie-in system activities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of applicable international codes, standards, and engineering best practices for subsea structures and tie-in systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline.
- Extensive oil and gas industry experience relating to subsea structures and tie-in systems from preliminary engineering through detailed design.
- Knowledge and experience using Finite Element Analysis software including:
- Ansys
- Abaqus
- COSMOSWorks
- Knowledge and experience using subsea structural analysis software including:
- SACS
- SESAM
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
