We're looking for a Subsidence & Drainage Investigation Engineer to join the Auger Team, covering Midlands and the surrounding areas.
Benefits
- Total package worth between £36,412 - £40,603, dependent on previous experience. This includes a discretionary annual bonus and a generous 5.5% pension contribution.
- Working Hours are 42.5 Hours, Monday to Friday which includes your travel time door to door.
- We don’t typically work weekends, but voluntary overtime during the weekend is available, paid at time and a half.

Financials
- Starting Salary - £32,381 - £36,353 dependent on experience
- Annual Bonus - approx £2000 - £2500

The role
As a Subsidence & Drainage Investigation Engineer, you will be independently completing drainage investigations on-site for our customers and making recommendations for repairs. We aim to ensure that our investigations are completed during our first visit where possible, so great problem-solving skills are essential to overcome unforeseen challenges. You will be required to complete excavations to locate foundations. You will also undertake trial holes to collect soil and root samples. You'll be responsible for caring for our customer on-site, so excellent customer care is vital - you'll need to confidently talk the customer through the works to leave them with reassurance and peace of mind. Our dedicated in-house Technical Support Team will be there at all times to help with any issues you may face whilst on the job, from technical problems to vehicle and kit requirements.

Preferred experience
- Use of CCTV camera (recording and labeling)
- Use of CAT scanner in order to identify buried services and to trace/locate the drainage system by use of sonde
- Reinstatement of various different domestic surface types including; paving slabs, block paving, cold lay tarmac, concrete, etc.
- Ability to complete small repairs - Replacement of gullies, restbends, small sections of shallow pipework
- Prior experience of completing trial holes

Prerequisite
- A clear basic DBS check
- Driving license check
- Job competency and relevant experience
