Report to: Head of School
We are seeking highly qualified and passionate Christian teachers to join our K-12 school community. The successful candidates will be substitute teachers responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction to students in accordance with the school’s mission and curriculum. The candidates must stand on the Word of God and be led by the Spirit of God.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrates love and respect to every student Deliver lessons to students in a variety of subjects, including but not limited to: Bible, English, Math, Science, History, Language Arts and Literature Facilitates opportunities for development of spiritual and academic growth from a Christ centered Biblical worldview. Create and maintain a positive and engaging learning environment for all students Provide individualized instruction to support the needs of diverse learners Collaborate with other teachers and staff Model and promote the school’s Christian values and beliefs Act as a mentor and role model for students Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Qualifications:
Commitment to a vibrant walk with Christ including regular spiritual disciplines of prayer, Bible reading, church attendance, and accountability. Candidates must be in agreement with the SJA Statement of Faith and Philosophy of Education. Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (preferred but not necessary depending on experience) Proven ability to effectively teach and engage students in various settings Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience working with diverse student populations and ability to differentiate instruction Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and other school staff Passion for teaching and making a positive impact on students’ lives
