We are looking for a Subtitler-Allocator to join the Sky Access Services team

Working closely with coordinators, subtitlers, and audio describers, you will be at the heart of ensuring subtitles and audio description are scheduled, allocated, and delivered in line with broadcast deadlines. Alongside managing allocations and workflows, you will also produce high-quality subtitles yourself, helping to ensure our accessibility services meet the highest standards.

What You'll Do

Subtitling Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality pre-recorded subtitles using scripts, caption files, live subtitles, and ASR-generated content, ensuring compliance with Ofcom requirements, Sky quality standards, and delivery deadlines.
  • Deliver subtitles across linear, repeat, and on-demand services while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
  • Respond quickly to technical or operational issues, escalating where appropriate to maintain service levels.

Allocation Responsibilities

  • Plan, allocate, and prioritise workloads to ensure all content is delivered within agreed deadlines and service levels.
  • Monitor schedules and programme availability, managing urgent requests, late changes, and high-priority deliveries.
  • Liaise with freelance subtitlers, maintain availability records, and ensure appropriate resource coverage.
  • Support the smooth delivery of access services through effective coordination, administration, and stakeholder communication.
  • Run and monitor ASR workflows, source scripts and caption files, and support efficient subtitle delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
