Your role

In the role of a Principal Consultant, you will anchor the engagement effort for assignments, all the way from business process consulting and problem definition to solution design, development and deployment. You will be pivotal to problem definition and discovery of the overall solution and guide teams on project processes, deliverables. As a thought leader in your domain, you will be the key advisor to architecture and design reviews. You will anchor business pursuit initiatives, client training, in-house capability building. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Implementation Lead to drive end-to-end implementation of Payroll solutions across the UK, Ireland, and Sweden. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in regional statutory and regulatory requirements, hands-on system implementation experience, and the ability to lead multi-country delivery teams through complex transformations. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, solution governance, and functional leadership across all project phases—from discovery through go-live and stabilization.

Professional Experience

Minimum 2–3 end-to-end multi-country Payroll implementations as a Lead. Experience working in large, complex programs with global delivery models. Expertise with SAP Payroll, SuccessFactors EC Payroll, or other enterprise payroll platforms. This role required travel to Manchester, UK

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & Solution Design

Lead full-cycle Payroll implementations across UK, Ireland, and Sweden, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment. Conduct country-specific payroll workshops to capture statutory rules, union requirements, local policies, and organizational processes. Translate business requirements into detailed functional designs and support technical teams with integration specifications. Oversee data migration strategy, validation rules, conversion templates, and reconciliation of legacy payroll data. Ensure payroll solution compliance with local tax laws, statutory regulations, pensions, social security, and reporting norms. Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution, parallel payroll runs, and payroll sign-off processes. Provide leadership during mock runs, cutover, go-live, and hypercare support. Serve as the primary point of contact for Payroll process owners, HR leads, and local country stakeholders. Deliver clear communication, documentation updates, and risk/issue reports to project leadership.
