Summer Activity Leader
Your Role
EF (Education First) York Summer School is seeking enthusiastic and outgoing individuals to join our Activities & Events Team as Activity Leaders for summer 2026.
In this role, you will organize and lead activities, events and excursions, creating an unforgettable experience for international students. Every day is different, from city trips to themed parties and interactive games. This is a great opportunity to develop leadership skills in a fun and multicultural environment.

Position Details
- Full-time
- 6 days a week
- Dates available between June – August 2026 (minimum two-week commitment)
- Accommodation and full board available if necessary

Responsibilities
- Leads groups of international students on a variety of activities, events, ceremonies and day trips
- Creates a lively atmosphere throughout the site and during excursions, all while delivering excellent customer service
- Takes responsibility for health, safety and well-being of all students, including completing and adhering to risk assessments and emergency situations in line with EF policy and procedures
- Liaises with co-leaders and the Activities and Events Manager to discuss how to improve future activities, events, ceremonies and day trips
- Ensures the EF behaviour code is always followed by all students and informs the management immediately if there are any issues or problems

Requirements
- Highly motivated, energetic, and positive with a sociable and outgoing personality
- Confident in leading and managing groups of students
- Highly organised and thorough, able to use initiative and work unsupervised
- Ability to handle difficult situations with ease and remain calm under pressure
- Appreciation of cultural differences and sensitive to the needs of international students
- A flexible approach to work and hours of work undertaken is essential
- Is a trained First Aider (preferable but not essential)
- Experience with 7-14 year olds (preferable but not essential)
- All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
- Right to work in the UK on commencement of employment
