Assala Energy Summer Placement Opportunities
Duration: 1 week - 3 months | Location: Hammersmith, London | Department: Multiple
Assala Energy, wholly owned by Gabon Oil Company, plays an important role in supporting the responsible development of Gabon’s energy sector and the creation of long-term value for Gabon and its people. Through its role in supporting Assala Gabon’s activities, Assala Energy contributes not only to business performance and long-term value creation, but also to the development of capability, expertise, and future talent linked to Gabon’s energy industry.
At Assala Energy, we believe our contribution goes beyond business operations alone. We are equally committed to helping develop the next generation of Gabonese professionals by creating meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, and gain exposure to the realities of a dynamic and multicultural working environment.
With this in mind, Assala Energy is offering 3 paid internships and 4 short-term work experience opportunities within its London office for Gabonese students and recent graduates who are already based in the UK. These placements are designed to provide early career talent with valuable practical exposure, professional mentorship, and a better understanding of how different disciplines support our business.

The experience is intended to provide students and graduates with meaningful hands-on exposure, structured support, and professional guidance at an important stage in their academic or early career journey.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who
- Are currently studying, or have recently graduated, in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Business, Law, or another relevant field
- Are curious, proactive, and motivated to learn
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a basic understanding of the oil and gas industry, although this is not essential
- Are fluent in both English and French
