EF (Education First) Oxford Brookes Summer School is seeking an empathetic, independent and proactive Residence Supervisor for summer 2026.

Position Details

Full-time 5 days a week Fixed-term contract between June 19 th – August 10 th 2026 Accommodation and full board available

Responsibilities

A constant presence at the student reception during the daytime based at our sole residence to ensure the smooth running of administration tasks relating to residence work such as preparing arrival information, organising keys and handling student queries Follow up on attendance and welfare checks throughout the day in accordance with EF’s Safeguarding and Missing Student policies Dealing directly with residence supplier to solve issues that may arise such as student lock-outs, or report maintenance issues to the supplier as required or directed by students and their leaders Ensure standards of rooms and quality of services are maintained by conducting weekly building and room checks To ensure the residences provide a comfortable and safe living environment To provide the highest level of customer service at all times To help maintain ‘one team’, where the different departments liaise and interact effectively and efficiently Re-allocate any last minute booking or changes within residential accommodation on internal allocation system Liaises with external suppliers where cleaning/maintenance issues are reported Ensures allocation information is accurate and sent on time Assists with arrival & departure documents and preparation of keys for all arrivals Ensures access to basic cleaning materials, spare bedding and ready to do essential emergency cleaning if required for unexpected arrivals Follows up any disciplinary issues together with the Summer Residence Manager and ensures sanctions are applied in line with EF’s residence rules and regulations Liaises with welfare team regarding any issues reported for residential students Shares emergency duty on a rota basis

Requirements

Must be a team player that can lead from the front, be outgoing and have great attention to detail Previous experience in a customer service environment, ideally working with young people and strong emotional intelligence You should be passionate about customer service and providing quality Ability to work under pressure and in a high paced environment In terms of mindset, we all have a ‘going above and beyond, never settling for the status quo' mentality Fluent in English All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references Right to work in the UK upon commencement of your contract This is a live-in position where accommodation and full board is provided at no extra cost
