We are looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic individual to join our team during the busy summer harvest season at Shoreham Silo Services Ltd in Shoreham Port. This role offers real-world experience in a grain storage and export facility, during one of the most dynamic times of the year.

Your Responsibilities
As a Silo Usher (or Harvest Season Worker), your role will include a mix of hands-on tasks, quality checks, and operational support:
- Sampling and inspecting incoming lorry loads of grain, ensuring quality standards are met before acceptance.
- Monitoring intake operations and liaising with lorry drivers to maintain smooth workflow.
- Recording quality check results and ensuring accurate internal documentation.
- Identifying and escalating any non-compliant loads that fail quality standards.
- Assisting ship loading operations, including learning to operate the grain loading spout (working at heights is involved—full training provided).
- Handling the grain movement control system within the silos.
- Developing knowledge of grain storage practices and quality control measures.
- Supporting the site operations team in various practical tasks to keep activities running efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing
