Superflex Roadside Patrol - Blackburn

SuperFlex Roadside Mechanic (Blackburn Cluster) – RAC

As a SuperFlex Patrol Roadside Mechanic, you’ll provide the adaptability our service relies on, working a varied schedule to help members get back on the road, fast.

Salary & Working Hours

  • Competitive salary: £50,669 basic, with earnings up to £57,000 including bonuses and overtime
  • 40-hour working week on average, with indepth weekly roster delivered 7 days in advance
  • Core hours confirmed 3 days prior – work shifts typically run between 06:00 and 02:00, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Where You’ll Work

You’ll operate within the Blackburn cluster, covering regions like:

  • Blackburn
  • Accrington
  • Burnley
  • Darwen
  • Bacup
  • Rawtenstall
  • Nelson
  • Colne
  • Clitheroe

Flexible working with minimal commute – all calls are managed locally, starting and finishing your day at home.

Key Responsibilities

As a SuperFlex Roadside Mechanic, you’ll:

  • Solve a variety of technical issues, from fault diagnostics to flat tyres and batteries
  • Work independently with full responsibility over your tools, van stock, and reporting
  • Manage situations quickly and effectively, using sound judgement to deliver the best outcome for members
  • Connect and reassure customers on the side of the road, ensuring a quality member experience
  • Travel locally with occasional overnight stays when required

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • A minimum A-Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with demonstrable expertise in technical, electrical and diagnostic experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Customer-focused mindset – you’re the friendly face that keeps drivers moving
  • Flexibility to work short notice, adapting with ease to a varied and dynamic schedule
