Supermarket Assistant – Waitrose & Partners
About the Role
As a Supermarket Assistant, you’ll be a driving force behind our promise of ** Partner-led service and passion for food**. Your dedication and enthusiasm will ensure that every customer visit leaves a lasting impression, earning their trust and loyalty for life.
Every effort counts—whether it’s restocking shelves, assisting with Click & Collect orders, or making sure our food lovers feel valued. This role is your chance to make a real difference, supporting our customers with the same hospitality and care that defines the Waitrose brand.
Additionally, times worked between 22:00 – 06:00 attract a Night Premium of £3.75 per hour, applying to all eligible Partners, including those on Enhanced Hours Premium.
- Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour (£13.25 after 90 days)
- Contract Type: Temporary
- Hours: 12 hours per week, across 7 days (including early starts, late finishes, evenings, and weekends)

- Stock replenishment: Keeping shelves fully stocked and products where customers need them, just in time.
- Online order fulfilment: Packing online grocery orders for direct home delivery by our team of Waitrose drivers.
- Waste reduction: Managing product markdowns and due diligence to minimise waste and maximise shelf-life.
- Team support: Assisting with checkout operations, Click & Collect orders, on-demand deliveries, and other operational needs.
- Shop maintenance: Ensuring a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
