About The Role

As a Supermarket Assistant, you'll help define our difference by delivering an exceptional customer experience on every visit. Your efforts directly impact how the Waitrose brand is perceived, improving customer satisfaction and encouraging repeat visits.


Key Responsibilities

Your role involves customer-focused service while contributing to the operational efficiency of the shop through shop-keeping tasks, including:

  • Stock replenishment – Ensuring shelves are fully stocked and products are positioned correctly for seamless customer experience.
  • Online order fulfilment – Preparing orders for driver delivery or click & collect encounters.
  • Waste reduction – Managing product due diligence and applying markdowns to items approaching sell-by dates.
  • Cross-team support – Assisting the shop team with:
    • Checkout operation
    • Click & Collect order management
    • On-demand customer requests
  • Maintaining a safe, hygienic, and organised work environment through general shopkeeping duties.
