About the Role
As a Supermarket Assistant, you’ll help shape our brand’s standing by delivering Partner-led service and passion for food that rivals behind us. We’re helping food lovers every day with a commitment to earning their trust and loyalty—ensuring their next visit to Waitrose is even more enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities
Your role spans customer service excellence and shop operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient retail experience. Tasks include:
- Stock replenishment – Keeping shelves fully stocked and products in the best place for customers, with an emphasis on product visibility and peak availability.
- Online order fulfilment – Processing and preparing Same Day Delivery and home grocery orders for same-day or next-day delivery to customers.
- Waste reduction – Implementing markdown schedules and managing sell-by date batches to minimise food waste while keeping freshness standards high.
- Operational support – Working alongside checkout teams, Click & Collect stations, and on-demand orders when required.
- General shopkeeping – Ensuring a safe, clean, and organised work environment through routine tidying and maintenance tasks.

You’ll need:
