Our Structured Finance & Derivatives team
Our Structured Finance & Derivatives team is recognised as one of the leading practices in the market, advising investment banks, asset managers, financial institutions, issuers and investors on complex and innovative structured products, derivatives and structured finance transactions. The team works across a broad range of asset classes and product types, combining deep technical expertise with a commercial and pragmatic approach to helping clients achieve their objectives. Our practice advises on the full spectrum of structured products and derivatives, including repackagings, structured credit products, exchange traded products, equity- and fund-linked structures, strategic equity transactions, credit risk mitigation arrangements and other bespoke financing and investment solutions. We act for clients across domestic and international markets and are regularly involved in market-leading and first-of-their-kind transactions, including those involving emerging asset classes and evolving regulatory frameworks.
The Role
We are seeking a talented Supervising Associate or Managing Associate (3+ PQE) to join our Structured Finance & Derivatives practice in London or Bristol. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of sophisticated domestic and cross-border structured products matters, advising leading financial institutions, asset managers and other market participants on transaction structuring, execution and related regulatory considerations.
The role offers exposure to complex and innovative transactions across a wide variety of asset classes, including structured debt products, exchange traded products, repackagings, structured credit transactions and strategic equity solutions. As a senior member of the team, you will take ownership of significant transaction workstreams, manage day-to-day client relationships and play a key role in the successful delivery of complex matters. You will work closely with colleagues across Financial Markets, Capital Markets and Financial Regulation to provide commercially focused advice and support clients on some of the most interesting transactions in the market. The role also offers the opportunity to supervise and mentor junior lawyers, contribute to business development initiatives and support the continued growth and success of the practice.

Person Specification
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent common law jurisdiction).
- 3+ years' post-qualification experience with strong exposure to structured products work gained within a leading practice.
- Experience working with investment banks, asset managers, financial institutions or other sophisticated financial market participants.
- Strong technical and transaction management skills, with the ability to take ownership of matters and client relationships.
- Collaborative and commercially-minded, with an interest in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
