Role Overview
As a Supervisor, you are a pillar of the store’s success, ensuring smooth operations, exceptional service, and strong team performance. Your responsibilities include:
- Delivering the JD customer experience: Leading a service-minded team that prioritises brand standards.
- Guiding store operations: Supporting opening/closing routines, till management, and financial accuracy.
- Empowering your team: Cultivating a positive, high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Team Leadership
- Provide excellent, consistent JD service by supporting every customer with friendliness and expertise
- Resolve queries swiftly and maintain brand-congruent team presentation standards
- Act as a guide and coach for colleagues during shifts to reinforce customer service excellence

Performance & Sales Support
- Monitor sales metrics and ensure staff engage to maximise service levels
- Optimise inventory presentation to reflect brand expectations while leveraging technology to offer customers the full product range

Operational Standards
- Maintain visual and clean environments, ensuring the store reflects JD's aesthetic and professionalism
- Rotate stock, manage displays, and prioritise product presentation aligned with JD’s brand

Administrative & System Checks
- Assist with daytime operational procedures, including opening/closing routines and accurate till processing
- Comply with health, safety, and security standards
Skills & Experience Required
- Retail or hospitality supervisory/team-leadership experience—proven track record in a busy, high-pressure environment
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills with the confidence to coach and guide colleagues
- Adherence to detail and the ability to maintain high standards in presentation, service, and operations
- Passion for retail and industry trends, with a strong awareness of JD Group values
