40 hours per week over 5 days

Monday to Friday with Saturdays on a rota

We have a great opportunity for a Supervisor who is passionate about providing the highest levels of customer service to join and help lead the team at our Brewers Decorator Centre in Surbiton.

Our Surbiton branch features a home design showroom, within which our customers can choose from an impressive choice of trade and designer paints, a huge selection of wallpapers and all the decorating tools, materials and equipment they need whether they be a professional trades person or a keen home décor enthusiast. Our friendly and experienced team are always on hand to give product advice to seasoned trades people and novice DIYers alike so if you are interested in learning more about our industry, this would be a great place to start. The branch opening hours are Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm and Saturday 8am - 5pm.

  • Assist the Branch Manager with developing sales as well as running the sales, warehouse and buying teams
  • Plan and agree sales forecasts with the Branch Manager in line with Company targets
  • Provide exceptional service to customers to deliver upon our reputation for quality Brewers service
  • Develop sales of the Company product range including wallpaper, soft furnishings, paint and fabric
  • Build relationships with customers to fully identify their needs and allow us to provide a comprehensive service
  • Assist in the display and merchandising of products, to capitalise on trends and make in-demand stock accessible
  • Assisting with stock maintenance in the branch and branches within the region
  • Promote seasonal and special items, including merchandising goods in-store to increase visibility and sales
  • Allocate work to the team, keeping them motivated and driven
  • Ensure orders and enquiries are dealt with and followed up on promptly
  • Act as a Key Holder for the branch when required

To Succeed In This Role You Will

  • Have experience of developing others, supervising in retail, or managing a team
  • Be enthusiastic and proactive about selling and be able to inspire staff to achieve high levels of customer service
  • Understand our focus on customer service and other Brewers values
  • Have the ability to positively represent the Company to a wide range of customers
  • Be able to work on your own initiative

Who We Are Looking For To Join The Team

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, to understand and translate customer requirements into product recommendations
  • Relevant experience in a similar environment
  • Approachable, possessing an open and friendly personality - happy to help both customers and colleagues
  • Enjoys working and supporting a team, but can be relied upon to work as an individual
  • Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within our industry
  • Willing to attend training to become a Fire Marshall and/or First Aider if required
