About the Role
Ringway is excited to be recruiting a Supervisor to join our team on the new Kent Highways contract in Gravesend. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality highway maintenance services across the region.
Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, you'll play a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering works safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong operational experience within highways, traffic management or civil engineering who is passionate about delivering exceptional results and leading teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day delivery of highway works in line with contract requirements.
- Ensuring suitable traffic management, plant, labour and materials are available for all planned works.
- Monitoring and auditing the quality of completed works.
- Ensuring Streetworks permits are in place and all activities comply with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Managing workforce performance and ensuring operatives are competent and suitably trained.
- Accurately allocating and capturing job costs on a daily basis.
- Working closely with Kent County Council Highway Engineers and contractor teams throughout design, pre-construction and delivery phases.
- Maintaining regular visibility and engagement with operational teams across day and night shifts.
- Promoting a strong safety culture and positive team morale.

About You

- ONC, City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
- NRSWA Supervisor Accreditation.
- Proven experience within highways maintenance, traffic management or civil engineering sectors.
- Strong understanding of the Traffic Management Act (TMA), Streetworks regulations and health & safety requirements.
- Experience managing operational teams and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of highway construction methodologies and delivery processes.
- Experience in cost management, budget control and operational systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
