Joining the JRL Group of Companies you will become a member of McMullen Facades, working mainly alongside Fabrication Operations, Production and Commercial managers, Design/Programmers and machine operators.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a minimum experience of three years working as a factory supervisor to be based at our Nottingham facilities. The candidate will be working as part of a growing team that includes machine operators i.e. (Press brakes, Laser, punches and CNC routers).

Possessing a level of relevant manufacturing supervision experience within a similar industry (predominantly aluminium, stainless steel and powder coating), with a particular emphasis on quantity, quality and dimensional checks. As time progresses the role has the potential to develop into a management role as the business continues to grow.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Communicating expectations to production team members and evaluating their performance.
  • Control of machinery maintenance preventive, corrective programs as well as service agreement contracts
  • Issue production programs, identify bottlenecks on the production and planning program
  • Compiling reports about production and providing management with updates
  • Match the workload programs with the materials stock levels
  • Using drawings, self-perform QC inspections of fabrications i.e fit-up, dimension checks, quantities and overall quality.
  • Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports as required by the company's quality procedures.
  • Checking all parts/components are present in line with Delivery notes/lists - In and Out.
  • Identify problems and non-conformances and report to the relevant working supervisors.
  • As required, advice and report to production management.
  • Inspection in line with production schedules with focus on work completion and delivery dates.
  • Self-manage workload within the parameters of the production schedule.
  • Work alongside Production Management, assisting with site call offs.
  • Using relevant instruments, carry out spot-check paint, anodizing quality and galvanizing thickness checks.
  • Strong background in steel and aluminum fabrication and welding- Ideally apprentice trained.
  • Thorough knowledge of aluminum and steel fabrication methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings (CAD, Inventor and Solid Works).
  • Ability to use IT systems and maintain QA/QC records.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and self-manage workload
