As a Cycle Technician at Evans Cycles, you’ll be at the centre of our workshop, delivering high-quality repairs, servicing, and safety checks to ensure our customers ride with confidence. You’ll combine technical expertise, quality commitment, and a passion for cycling into every job, while offering clear and friendly advice.

Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out a wide range of bicycle repairs, including:
- Brake adjustments
- Gear tuning
- Wheel truing
- Drivetrain maintenance
- Suspension servicing
- Assembling new bicycles to manufacturer guidelines, ensuring they are safe and ready for sale
- Conducting service consultations with customers by diagnosing issues and providing clear repair recommendations and estimates
- Supporting customers in selecting parts, upgrades, and accessories for their bikes
- Performing safety inspections to highlight and resolve potential issues
- Maintaining high standards of quality control, ensuring every repair meets our safety and service expectations
- Organising the workshop, managing spare parts, tools, and stock efficiently
- Delivering excellent customer service, including:
- Explaining repairs to customers
- Offering expert advice
- Ensuring every rider leaves confident in their bike

Qualifications & About You
- Skilled in bicycle mechanics with experience repairing a wide range of bike types and components
- Previous workshop experience as a mechanic/technician is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of bicycle brands, models, and components
- Detail-oriented with a deep commitment to quality and safety
- Confident communicator with exceptional customer service skills
- Highly independent, capable of both solo work and team collaboration
- Physically able to work on your feet and lift bikes when required
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends in line with store hours
