Purpose of the Role
We are looking for a Supervisor to be based at our Coleshill depot, B46 3HN on day shift. The Supervisor is a position that requires practical experience developed from within this business and or industry sector, from an operational basis on highways maintenance and commercial management, gained over a period of several years. Key knowledge and people management experience are essential. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and forward-thinking individual with strong commercial acumen who has previous experience of managing high performing teams.
Main Responsibilities
As a Supervisor, you will play a vital role in leading and supporting the delivery team, ensuring operations run efficiently and safely. You will provide clear leadership, motivation, and direction to your team, while effectively managing and utilizing company resources through careful planning and collaboration with colleagues and clients. You will be responsible for ensuring all personnel comply with company procedures and safety standards, maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, and quality across all operations. Supporting and developing staff will be a key part of your role, including identifying training needs and encouraging continuous improvement. In addition, you will assist with maintaining discipline and ensuring company compliance, support senior staff when required, and contribute to operational duties such as managing job packs, identifying risks, and ensuring hazards are mitigated. You will also be involved in winter maintenance planning, call-out rota management, and assisting with investigations where necessary, ensuring all activities are delivered in line with client expectations. You will act as a key point of contact for clients, managing relationships professionally and effectively, manage key stakeholders, building and maintaining strong working relationships, oversee workforce coordination to ensure efficient and effective delivery of works, drive team performance by motivating staff to achieve results while maintaining high standards and ensure all activities are delivered with full adherence to health and safety standards.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience within a similar role from a Highways background. You will have confirmed knowledge and a firm understanding of highways legislation, including the Road Traffic Act, Chapter 8, DMRB and TSRGD. You will have proven ability to demonstrate strong financial understanding including control and reporting of budgets and associated variations. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook is essential and proficiency in confirm software would be advantageous.

- A salary between £40,000-£48,000 (dependent on experience)
