Supervisor, Manufacturing Operators

Manufacturing Supervisor – GMP Regulated Environment

Work Schedule Standard: Mon-Fri | Emergency coverage: May require varying shifts/weekends

Environmental Conditions

  • Facility: Cleanroom, laboratory, and cold rooms/freezers (-22°F/-6°C)
  • Performing duties in regulated settings requiring full adherence to: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO, and compliance standards
  • Physical requirements:
    • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
    • Active mobility in cold, confined spaces (PPE and insulation required)

Cleanroom/Gowning Restrictions Not permitted in cleanroom areas:

  • Hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish
  • Perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair
  • PPE required: Safety glasses, lab coat, gloves, earplugs (Additional protection based on workspace)

About the Role

As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you’ll lead a team of 10–20 operators while delivering operational excellence in a GMP-regulated environment. Drive continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, and PPS methodologies to increase productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction in a global industry leader.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering growth and collaboration
  • Implement Lean/Six Sigma PPI and 5S practices to enhance workflow efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to propose and lead CAPAs (Corrective Action Preventive Action)
  • Analyze production metrics to drive continuous improvement in quality, safety, and productivity
  • Ensure full GMP compliance, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and regulatory adherence
  • Optimize scheduling, workflows, and production planning using ERP systems
  • Mentor team members, resolve issues, and mitigate operational bottlenecks
  • Lead investigations of quality deviations or deviations from regulatory standards
  • Adapt to team or facility needs, including shift flexibility and varying schedule requirements

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Advanced degree (e.g., Engineering, Science, Business, related fields) plus 3 years experience or
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years manufacturing operations experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role

Specialized Knowledge

  • GMP/ISO compliance and regulated manufacturing environment experience
  • Lean/Six Sigma (certification preferred but experience accepted)
  • Data analysis to interpret metrics and link to process improvements
  • Experience leading quality systems, SOPs, investigations, CAPAs, and change controls
  • ERP system, Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
