Supervisor, Manufacturing Operators

Manufacturing Supervisor

This is a critical role guiding a team of 10-20 operators in a GMP-regulated environment. You'll drive continuous improvement, productivity, and quality while fostering a culture of excellence—producing life-changing products and developing leadership skills at a global industry leader.


About the Role

As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead and develop a team of 10-20 operators toward operational excellence.
  • Promote Lean/PPI (Process Performance Improvement) methodologies to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive meaningful impact by producing critical products while strengthening leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide a team of manufacturing operators, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Implement Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to optimize workflows.
  • Enhance quality, productivity, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate across functions to build consensus and streamline processes.
  • Manage production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization.
  • Lead investigations, CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and change controls.
  • Monitor and analyze data/metrics to drive continual improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to GMP, ISO, and regulatory compliance.
  • Work with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Uphold a clean environment while managing hazardous/toxic materials safely.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Advanced Degree + 3 years of manufacturing experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or related field + 5 years of experience, including:
    • 2+ years in a leadership role (e.g., team supervision).
  • Required: Experience in GMP, ISO, or regulated manufacturing.

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Certifications in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
  • Strong expertise in quality systems, SOPs, and compliance controls.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Skilled in data analysis, metrics tracking, and process optimization.
  • Experience implementing standard work and 5S practices.

  • Flexibility to adjust schedules/shifts as operational needs require.

Physical & Environmental Demands

  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance.
  • Complies with all GMP Safety Standards, including:
    • Cleanroom adherence (*no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, etc.).
    • Work in -22°F/-20°C freezers and cold rooms.
    • Laboratory setting with PPE requirements (safety glasses, lab coats, gloves, earplugs).
    • May work with hazardous/toxic materials.
