The Damage Only team represent a range of high-profile insurer clients, defending claims arising from Road Traffic Accidents (RTAs) where losses have been incurred. These include small claims and Ministry of Justice (MOJ) Stage 3 cases.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Supervisor to join the team in Liverpool.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a defendant motor insurance caseload, while also playing a key role in supervising and developing a team. You’ll be responsible for driving cases to an effective and satisfactory conclusion, delivering a high standard of service to clients and ensuring compliance with agreed service level agreements (SLAs).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor and support a team of paralegals, promoting high performance and ongoing professional development.
  • Manage and progress a litigated motor insurance caseload efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates and addressing queries or concerns.
  • Ensure service delivery aligns with client SLAs and internal quality standards, including accurate management information and reporting.
  • Undertake legal research to support case strategy and provide guidance on RTA claims.
  • Support wider team management activities, including workload planning, scheduling and resource allocation.

What will help you succeed in this role?

Essential

  • Tangible experience within RTA / Motor Damage ideally at Senior Paralegal or Supervisor level.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research and familiarity with legal databases.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable

  • Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Experience working to client SLAs within a volume or insurer led environment.
