About the Role
The Supervisor, Plant Operations, plays a critical role in maintaining safe, compliant, and efficient facility operations to support patient care and organizational goals. This hands-on leadership position ensures reliability of building systems, adherence to regulatory requirements, and staff development—all while fostering a strong culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Supervise daily maintenance activities, team performance, and facility operations to uphold safety, efficiency, and compliance.
- Oversee preventive maintenance, corrective workflows, scheduling, work orders, and department coordination—experiencing all processes first-hand from documentation to execution.
- Monitor compliance with Joint Commission Environment of Care, life safety standards, safety regulations, infection control protocols, and emergency management practices through inspections, audits, training programs, and staff oversight.

Staff Development and Performance Management
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to employees, contractors, and vendors to ensure adherence to policies, safety protocols, infection control, and emergency preparedness.
- Encourage a culture of accountability and continuous improvement among team members.
Facility Management and Safety
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, utilities, and work areas to identify operational risks, resolve issues, and propose improvements that enhance safety and productivity.
- Troubleshoot technical issues alongside staff to resolve problems efficiently.
- Oversee maintenance, repairs, and compliance with Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSMs).
Emergency and Prevention Responsibilities
- Contribute to preparedness efforts by actively participating in safety drills, incident response, and process improvements.
- Maintain high availability to ensure uninterrupted facility function, including during nights, weekends, and during urgent maintenance needs.
Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED preferred).
Licensing & Certifications
- Valid driver’s license with proof of personal vehicle insurance.
Experience
- Three (3) years of experience in Plant Operations, facilities management, or a related field.
- Preferred: Prior supervisory or team-lead experience.
