Supervisor - Property Services

Location: Hunslet, Leeds

Contract: Temporary, 16 weeks

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Rate: £17 to £20 PAYE / circa £21.00 to £23.50 Umbrella

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Supervisor to join a property services team based in Hunslet, Leeds on a 16-week temporary contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in property services, social housing, repairs, maintenance, planned works, major works or construction supervision. The successful candidate will lead a team as part of a project or defined work stream, driving excellent service standards, KPI performance, compliance, health and safety, and customer satisfaction.

The Role

As Supervisor, you will support the management of day-to-day operational activity, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and within agreed time, cost and budget requirements.

You will be responsible for leading and motivating a team, supporting productivity, managing performance and ensuring a right-first-time approach to service delivery. You will also help maintain excellent relationships with residents, clients, colleagues and supply chain partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team to achieve service, project and KPI targets
  • Assess resource requirements and support day-to-day operational management
  • Ensure team objectives are met within agreed time, cost and budget constraints
  • Support delivery of annual and longer-term business plans
  • Manage team performance in line with company policy
  • Drive productivity, quality assurance and right-first-time delivery
  • Support KPI reporting, cost reviews and service improvements
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards and contractual requirements
  • Apply and implement health, safety and environmental procedures
  • Identify risks and help protect business reputation
  • Resolve complaints and support action plans to address areas of dissatisfaction
  • Coach, mentor and support the development of direct reports
  • Hold regular team meetings and ensure clear communication of responsibilities
  • Promote effective use of IT systems and internal processes

About You

The ideal candidate will have proven supervisory experience within a property services, housing maintenance, construction or major works environment.

You will have strong technical knowledge, good communication skills and the ability to manage teams, customers and contractors effectively. You should be proactive, organised and confident working in a fast-paced operational environment.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must hold one of the following:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Work Supervision
  • NVQ Level 4 in Construction Site Supervision
  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Construction Site Supervision

Desirable

CSCS Gold Supervisory Card

Additional Requirements

Full UK driving licence required
