The Role

The Supervisor drives store sales and maximises profitability through effective team management and policy implementation. As part of the store leadership team, you’ll lead, motivate, and develop staff to deliver superior customer service, boosting sales productivity and business results.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Generation

  • Own and exceed store sales targets, driving revenue to surpass Company expectations
  • Analyse sales reports to identify business trends and tailor strategies
  • Continuously motivate and coach staff to meet assigned sales goals
  • Develop associates’ sales techniques, ensuring high standards of elevation and service
  • Demonstrate expertise in merchandise and train staff to deliver exceptional product knowledge
  • Serve as a sales leader on the selling floor

Customer Service

  • Enhance the customer journey by providing in-depth knowledge of the brand, product, and Theory For Good initiatives
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional service
  • Ensure teams maintain constant engagement through client books and tailored communication
  • Trace, resolve, and escalate customer complaints efficiently
  • Support associates with challenges like returns, dissatisfied customers, or defective merchandise

Leadership and Coaching

  • Recruit, train, and develop staff, ensuring open positions are filled with skilled candidates in a timely manner
  • Mentor and motivate the team, fostering accountability and professionalism
  • Support workshops, training programs, and professional development
  • Cultivate a supportive, positive workplace culture

Operations

  • Ensure store maintenance, organisation, and presentation align with brand standards
  • Oversee cash control, deposits, safe funds, and petty cash management
  • Ensure full compliance with brand policies and company procedures
  • IT and inventory management:
    • Train staff on POS and register usage
    • Master management reporting functions
    • Lead loss prevention (security, cash operations, theft mitigation)
  • Need proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and general retail systems

Visual Merchandising

  • Implement merchandising directives and maintain state-of-the-art in-store presentation
  • Ensure the selling floor aligns with Theory’s harmony aesthetics (visual image, displays, and fixtures)
  • Proactively communicate product concerns to leadership

Key Skills & Experience

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail leadership, preferably in a luxury or premium brand
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
  • High performer: driven, results-focused, and capable of high CSR concentration
  • Exceptional time management and problem-solving
  • KPI-driven and able to meet or exceed commercial targets
  • Strong financial commerce knowledge— understand customers’ buying behaviour
  • SAF and retail licence skills (KPI tracking, store adherence, regulatory compliance)
  • Be coachable/effective: capable of building, engaging, and retaining talent
  • Sound technical skills, including:
    • POS navigation and utilisation
    • Light IT (Excel, Word)
    • initiative skills
