About the Role

Experience our iconic Swilcan Loft Restaurant—a stunning 74-cover dining space with floor-to-ceiling views of the Old Course’s historic 17th hole and Swilcan Bridge. This is more than a job—it’s the cornerstone of an AA Five Star experience.

As Food & Beverage Supervisor, you’ll be part of the team delivering exceptional hospitality with a focus on excellence in service, operational efficiency, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Service Standards

  • Deliver Five Red Star-level guest service, ensuring seamless and memorable dining experiences.
  • Assist via phone; take and accurately process food/beverage orders while maintaining IQA (International Quality Assurance) compliance.
  • Provide constructive support to front-of-house staff to uphold Service Standards.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure FBO and stock area cleanliness (pre-, during- and post-service) meets AA and hotel’s set standards.
  • Accurately maintain guest history and relay critical information to the team.
  • Monitor stock and linen levels, proactively reporting discrepancies to minimise loss or disruption.

Leadership & Training

  • Fully equip and support staff with IQA/AA best practices, contributing to team development.
  • Attend regular pre-service meetings, training sessions, and operational briefs, demonstrating professionalism in health, safety, and operational protocols.

Legal Compliance

  • Proficiency in unions regulations, health & safety procedures, fire evacuation protocols, first aid, and proper shift/sickness reporting mechanics.

Requirements

Successful candidates will demonstrate: ✔ Previous experience in Bar or Restaurant Supervision or equivalent leadership role. ✔ Strong team management, motivator skills—consistently driving collaboration and positive outcomes. ✔ In-depth knowledge of bar operations, drink presentation, and responsible alcohol service. ✔ Ability to thrive under pressure; maintaining composure in peak periods. ✔ Exceptional customer service with communication skills; keen to engage in HR practices as necessary. ✔ Preferred: WSET level 1 (or equivalent).

Hours & Compensation

  • Full-Time (Permanent) Position: 40 hours per week
  • Annual Salary: £29,176.19 (subject to an upcoming increase to £35,500++ in March 2026)
