Supervisor

Security Supervisor (Front-of-House & Control Room)

Job Purpose

The Supervisor leads front-of-house and security operations, delivering a seamless, premium workplace and visitor experience. This role combines leadership, customer experience, concierge and security oversight, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and highly professional environment.

Operating collaboratively across the wider team, the Supervisor promotes a "One Team" culture, drives communication and consistency, and acts as an ambassador for both PROception and the Client. On a 12-hour rotational shift pattern (3 Days / 3 Nights / 3 Off), the role ensures smooth daily operations, full compliance with standards, and proactive reporting to both the Security Manager and Client on incidents, risks, and operational matters.


Key Responsibilities

Operational oversight & security protocols

  • Access Control Monitoring: Oversee access systems to ensure secure entry.
  • Alarm & Emergency Response: Respond to alarms, fire panel activity, and emergency protocols.
  • CCTV Operations: Monitor systems, conduct audits, report faults, and manage evidence downloads.
  • Incident & Fault Reporting: Complete incident reports, escalate discrepancies, and log faults.
  • Key & Pass Management: Maintain accurate signing in/out records and produce official passes.
  • Lift Entrapment Response: Liaise with Jackson Lifts and manage emergency phone systems.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure officers adhere to all H&S procedures.

Team leadership & performance management

  • Team Leadership: Manage rotations, breaks, uniform standards, and performance.
  • Training & Competency: Support onboarding, ensure training completion, and maintain team knowledge.
  • Professional Standards: Enforce conduct, presentation, and behavioural expectations.
  • Operational Communication: Respond to emails, relay updates, and ensure clarity in messaging.

Critical command & compliance

  • Fire Evacuation Control: Take command out of hours and support seek-and-search operations.
  • SOP & Assignment Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Assignment Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Scheduled Checks: Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checks, verifying compliance.

Operational Control & Leadership

  • Operational Command: Maintain full control of the Control Room and all systems (CCTV, access control, alarms, incident logging).
  • Primary Point of Contact: Lead daily operations and be the main on-site liaison for the Client and Security Manager.
  • Shift Continuity: Ensure seamless handovers and accurate EDOB (Electronic Daily Operational Briefing) entries.
  • Client Engagement: Act as a professional ambassador, upholding 5-Star service delivery standards.
  • Security Manager Liaison: Escalate issues promptly and maintain consistent updates with senior management.
  • Leadership Presence: Remain calm, visible, and authoritative, setting a strong supervisory tone.
