The Role

As a Supervisor at Traid, you will play a vital role in bringing the store to life each day. By leading from the shop floor, you will support the Store Leadership team in delivering great customer experiences, strong shop standards and a positive, inclusive team environment. You will be a visible role model for Traid’s values, supporting volunteers and colleagues through hands-on leadership, coaching in the moment and clear communication. Through your passion for sustainable fashion and community impact, you will help create a welcoming space where customers feel inspired to shop, donate and support Traid’s mission. You will take responsibility for key areas of the store during your shifts, ensuring the shop floor is well presented, organised and running smoothly, while contributing to commercial performance and donation growth.

Key Accountabilities

  • Day-to-day shop floor leadership
  • Customer experience and service standards
  • Visual merchandising and presentation
  • Volunteer support and on-the-job coaching
  • Donation processing and stock flow
  • Till operation and cash handling support
  • Health & safety and compliance awareness
  • Promotion of Traid’s values and mission

Shop Floor & Operational Leadership

  • Lead the shop floor during shifts, ensuring smooth, safe and efficient trading
  • Support daily priorities including opening, closing and key trading periods
  • Ensure strong stock flow from donation intake to shop floor replenishment
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation
  • Support till operations and ensure accurate cash handling procedures are followed
  • Identify and resolve day-to-day issues, escalating where appropriate

People & Volunteer Support

  • Act as a first point of support for volunteers and team members during shifts
  • Coach in the moment to reinforce service, standards and confidence
  • Help new volunteers feel welcomed, trained and supported
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued
  • Support Store Leadership with communication of priorities and feedback
  • Lead by example, modelling Traid’s values and behaviours
