Traffic Management Supervisor
Business Unit: 5079 - NH East Location: Toddington
Ringway is seeking an experienced Traffic Management Supervisor (Roadside Technology) to join our team on the National Highways East contract. In this role, you’ll be responsible for planning and overseeing traffic management for roadside technology works, ensuring operations run smoothly while meeting safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Responsibilities
- Work safely and promote a safe environment for all operations involving personnel under authority and those affected by activities, including the general public.
- Hold front-line responsibility for service delivery of reactive and cyclic maintenance work.
- Take ownership of planning and arranging traffic management requirements for technology work.
- Supervise and oversee operational teams and subcontractors in line with productivity and quality targets.
- Monitor the skills and experience of subcontractors and liaise with other depots as required.
- Actively foster a positive team spirit and improve communication across teams.
- Carry out site visits, compliance checks, and depot audits.
- Coordinate road space applications and manage/review Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS).
- Actively promote and utilise bespoke software to support efficient service delivery.

Person Specification
The Supervisor role requires:
- Good detailed knowledge of operational delivery and traffic management.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute works in an organised way to ensure:
- profitable returns
- safe working
- customer satisfaction
- Adherence to company Health & Safety procedures for all team members.
- Alignment with Ringway’s Vision and Values and fostering these within the team.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Flexibility in working hours and ability to work with minimum supervision.
- IT literacy (including Word, Excel and bespoke systems).

Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications equivalent to (preferably referencing motivation letters/decisions):
- 12A (Traffic Management)
- 12B
- 12C
- 12D
- T7 (for Managers and Client Officers).
- Ideally, high-speed traffic management knowledge.
Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full-time (40 hrs) - Monday to Friday.
