Job Outline:
The prime responsibility of the EMEA Supplier Development Manager (SDM) is to ensure the successful execution of the business plan for their assigned focus suppliers. The SDM acts as the bridge to drive successful engagement between marketing, sales, engineering and the supplier. This will require driving a demand creation strategy with NPI and marcom activities on the key technologies of their suppliers. The SDM is the primary interface and facilitator to relationships between all key personnel at the suppliers and Future Electronics. The SDM will be expected to create the business plan, ensuring alignment with sales, marketing, engineering, the supplier and drive the execution with all associated parties. The primary metrics for success will be achieving the sales, demand creation and network share metrics set within the business plan.
What the role involves:
- Hold principle accountability for success with assigned focus suppliers.
- Act as the primary lead within Future for the focus suppliers and ensure proactive alignment of distribution and market segment strategy.
- Develop a business plan with associated programmes, gain mindshare and acceptance from the organisation and drive success across the EMEA organisation.
- Control and communicate NPI to all relevant parties, including Sales, Marketing, Engineering and management.
- Communicate supplier strengths, product offerings, roadmaps and strategies effectively across the EMEA organisation in order to target specific / strategic customers where requested.
- Work with the technical and Marcom teams to develop and execute on demand creation programmes, including driving the launch and co-ordination of new product offerings. Provide enablers (demos & Marcom material) for product push programmes.
- Develop business relationships to a level that will support Future gaining the ‘unfair’ advantage through supplier relationship and matrix development.
- Ensure that Future maximises and capitalises upon the overall positioning of the supplier product portfolio on the EMEA line card.
- Develop tools to track and monitor performance, measure and communicate successes and drive improvements / product push programmes where needed.
- Prepare and conduct effective reviews with management and suppliers as required.
- Support and participate in critical quotes, positioning Future for maximum probability to win new business.

Do you have:
- Ideally educated to degree level with comprehensive knowledge of electronics and / or electronic distribution across a region or countries.
- Fully au fait with the sales and marketing working practises of Future and EMEA / international distributor.
- Commercially astute with strong credibility, able to win the “customer” and develop long term customer relationship management.
- Able to think strategically and implement tactical plans as required.
- Strong service ethic able to work on own or as core support to others.
- Proactive, adaptable, organised and multi-tasking achiever.
- Excellent verbal and written communicator and presenter.
