Role Description
Flowtech is seeking a full-time, on-site Supplier Development & Performance Manager based in Skelmersdale.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and improve supplier performance across:
- Quality
- Delivery
- Cost
- Service metrics
- Set and track KPIs, drive corrective actions, and ensure suppliers meet targets
- Build strong relationships with key suppliers including:
- Leading supplier audits
- Conducting performance reviews
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including:
- Procurement
- Product management
- Operations
- Quality
- Supply chain
- Analyse supplier data to:
- Identify risks and opportunities
- Support cost reduction initiatives
- Contribute to sourcing and selection decisions
- Develop supplier capabilities through:
- Training
- Coaching
- Joint improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and company policies

Successful candidates should possess:

- Effective communication to:

- Lead performance reviews and negotiations
- Proven experience in performance management, including:
- Setting and monitoring KPIs
- Implementing improvement plans with suppliers
- Training & development experience, including:
- Supplier training
- Process optimisation for teams
- Continuous improvement practices
- Budgeting & cost management experience, supporting:
- Value improvement initiatives
- Financial planning related to suppliers
- Preferred background in:
- Supply chain
- Procurement
- Quality
- Operations
- Ideally within industrial, hydraulic, pneumatic, or manufacturing sectors
- Knowledge of:
- Continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
- Supplier audit processes
- Ability to:
- Work on-site in Skelmersdale
- Manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Influence stakeholders across organisational levels
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in:
- Supply chain
- Engineering
- Business
- or a related field
