Use Your Power for Purpose The Supplier Management Innovation Lead will transform how we manage supplier information and drive a holistic, data-driven approach to supplier management. This role will integrate Quality, Procurement, and Technical functions across the network to ensure that data insights power strategic decisions, risk mitigation, and operational excellence. To achieve this, the Lead will work in close collaboration with Digital to forward the Digital roadmap for SQM and implement the new ways of working. The Supplier Management Innovation Lead will create a seamless, data-driven ecosystem. By leveraging advanced analytics and the latest digital tools, this role will introduce new ways of working—streamlining supplier onboarding, automating performance monitoring, and embedding predictive risk management into daily operations. The role will also drive innovation and continuous improvement by enhancing tools and processes and implementing IMEx principles, defining best practices and implementing these into the daily SQM activities. The ultimate goal is to achieve alignment with all stakeholders on supplier risk management for the network. This role requires leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to build cross-functional relationships to drive excellence in supplier management practices. What You Will Achieve Owns the SQM Digital Roadmap and stays up-to-date with trends and developments to define new opportunities or extend existing tools to support the transformation to predictive supplier risk management. Drives implementation of KPI’s to identify areas of risk. Leads or participates in cross functional projects to empower the organization through innovation, by aligning the systems and tools with the future SQM process to move from reactive problem-solving to proactive, insight-driven supplier management—delivering measurable value and competitive advantage. Governance & Network Engagement: Owns the SQM Digital roadmap and aligns activities related to Veeva SQM and SCAR implementation, use of other Veeva modules to align SQM activities with other GPO’s, drive aligned progress of other Digital tool development and projects in collaboration with the network to ensure prioritization, unified standards and continuous knowledge sharing. Guides the network to adopt new tools and align with business processes. Strategic Capabilities: Displays critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Builds and sustains cross-functional relationships, inspires engagement and team building, and champions risk-based analysis and innovative solutions to elevate supplier management practices. How You Will Achieve It Lead the creation and execution of the digital roadmap for supplier information, ensuring accuracy, harmonization, and compliance across global processes. Define long‑term digital capabilities that strengthen supplier governance and operational excellence Design and deploy innovative processes and tools to streamline supplier onboarding, performance monitoring, and end-to-end risk mitigation. Drive simplification and standardization of supplier management workflows, ensuring scalability and alignment with PGS platforms Partner closely with Quality, Procurement, and Technical Operations to ensure supplier data supports business priorities and operational decision‑making. Establish strong cross‑functional governance to enhance transparency, accountability, and process consistency. Integrate IMEx principles into supplier management and digital governance frameworks, promoting operational discipline and visual management. Champion continuous improvement initiatives, enabling teams to eliminate waste, reduce manual effort and improve process timelines. Translate business needs into actionable advanced analytics to identify trends, anticipate supplier risks, and proactively drive interventions. Collaborate with digital teams to deploy analytics platforms that enable real-time visibility, standardized reporting, and predictive insights.. Act as a thought leader in supplier management transformation, influencing internal stakeholders and external partners on innovative approaches and emerging capabilities. Lead change management efforts to drive adoption of new tools, processes, and best practices. Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements) BA/BS with 6+ years of experience or MBA/MS with 5+ years of experience or PhD/JD with 1+ year of experience or MD/DVM with any years of experience in supplier management, procurement, or quality. Minimum 3 years in a data-driven, digital transformation, or process improvement role. Demonstrated experience in data management, analytics, and insight generation. Proven ability to drive process innovation and digital transformation across matrixed teams. Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing capabilities skills. Strategic thinker with a passion for continuous improvement. Solid project management skills, including prioritization and cross-functional orchestration. Ability to function autonomously in a matrix model while fostering collaboration. Experience developing training or providing mentorship to stakeholders and SME’s. Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements) Technical proficiency with data analytics and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau). Experience with ERP systems and supplier management platforms (SAP, SMS). Familiarity with Veeva eQMS. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
