Role Profile
Job Title: Supplier Management Team Leader
Responsible for: Supplier Management Team
Location: Hybrid – Remote &/or Office Based
Purpose
To lead the team who deliver and optimise the supplier ecosystem ensuring governance and execution of successfully and timely supplier onboarding processes in line with organisation requirements, manage supplier relationships, ensuring optimal performance, governance, and alignment to Bell’s operational and customer delivery needs.
Scope
The role is responsible for the end-to-end supplier lifecycle including onboarding, performance management, optimisation and risk management across the supplier ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and coach the Supplier Management team
- Own supplier onboarding relationships to align with our deliver quality, value and service outcomes criteria
- Support optimisation of existing suppliers before reverting to onboarding new
- Define and embed supplier governance, onboarding and lifecycle management processes
- Align supplier capabilities with Sales, CTO and Delivery requirements
- Monitor and report on supplier performance, SLAs and risk
- Ensure compliance with legal, financial and regulatory standards
- Identify opportunities for supplier expansion, innovation and cost efficiencies
- Continually improve supplier onboarding process and efficiency. Reduce average mean time in supplier onboarding.

Key Objectives
- Establish a best-in-class supplier onboarding and lifecycle framework
- Ensure full compliance and risk mitigation across all suppliers
- Build a high-performing supplier management capability
- Embed and drive sustainable procurement practices across the supplier lifecycle, working in partnership with the GRC / Sustainability team to support Bell’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments.

Operational Excellence
- % of suppliers onboarded within SLA (target: >95%)
- Average onboarding cycle time (reduction YoY)
- Supplier data accuracy & completeness (>98%)
- % of new suppliers completing sustainability / ESG due diligence checks
- Sustainability criteria embedded into onboarding and selection processes (measured via audit/compliance adherence)
Supplier Performance & Risk
- % suppliers meeting SLAs (>95%)
- Number of supplier-related escalations reduced (YoY)
- Risk incidents / compliance breaches (target: zero critical)

Strategic Value
- Number of new supplier capabilities introduced

Expanded Responsibilities (Additional Depth)
- Own supplier segmentation (strategic / tactical / transactional)
- Partner with Procurement on commercial leverage strategies
- Implement supplier scorecards and QBR cadence
- Drive continuous improvement plans with underperforming suppliers
- Embed governance into onboarding, contracting, and lifecycle management
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in Supplier/Vendor Management within IT services
- Proven leadership and team management capability
- Commercial acumen
- Strong stakeholder management across business functions
- Understanding of procurement, compliance and supplier governance operations
- Good understanding of risk profile management
