Location: Manchester Salary: £61,344 – £68,160 Hours: Full-time Working Pattern: Hybrid (minimum 2 days/week in the office) Flexible adjustments supported under the Flexibility Works policy, including for colleagues with disabilities.
About the Role
Join our Consumer Lending COO Supplier Management group, a centre of excellence focused on supplier performance and governance. Our team supports Consumer Lending operations by managing governance, due diligence, sustainability, and risk across the supplier lifecycle, ensuring:
- Deliverable value and exceptional customer results
- Compliance with Group policy and risk appetite
- Strategic alignment with business priorities
As Supplier Manager, you’ll oversee supplier relationships while ensuring consistent governance, performance and sustainability.
Responsibilities
Supplier Relationship Management
- Lead and shape supplier relationships across contracts, ensuring delivery, governance, and performance.
- Embed change and sustainable practices while balancing commercial, risk, and customer priorities.
Supplier Oversight & Accountability
- Manage supplier relationships and contracts from initiation to exit.
- Ensure full alignment with policy frameworks and business objectives.
- Take full accountability, proactively resolving issues to drive outcomes.
Risk & Governance Management
- Apply rigorous governance and risk frameworks.
- Maintain audit trails, compliance, and Group policy adherence.
- Own exit and continuity planning, regularly reviewing and executing effective readiness.

Requirements
Supplier Management Expertise
- Proven track record in full-cycle supplier management.
- Experience in risk anticipation, contractual compliance, and performance improvement.
Commercial & Contract Oversight
- Hands-on experience in contract negotiations and lifecycle support.
- Aptitude for cost drivers, stakeholder management, and innovation.
Leadership & People Development
- Superior skills in small-team leadership (2–5 colleagues).
- Commitment to transparent accountability and capability-building.
Key Account Management
- Strong ability to engage with senior stakeholders while driving alignment.
Risk, Governance & Compliance
- Deep knowledge of supplier governance frameworks.
- Ensures audit-readiness and risk/profit balance in decision-making.
Data-Driven Decisions
- Uses insight derived from data to envisage opportunities.
