Job Title: Supplier Manager

Function: Commercial

Location: Hybrid – 2 days office based; Nottingham, Wakefield or Sheffield.

Contract type: FTC -12mth

Salary: £47,874 with the potential to rise to £56,322 over 3 years

Closing Date: 22nd July 2026

We have an exciting opportunity within NHS Supply Chain for a Supplier Manager to join the NHSSC Supplier Relationship Management team.

As a core pillar of our Supplier Management Function, our supplier relationship formal programme through robust evaluation criteria and internal stakeholder engagement, identifies our Strategic, Preferred and Key suppliers to work with via a dedicated Relationship Manager in a structured framework.

The role will drive activities to identify and maximise value above and beyond that initially set out in the initial commercial award. The function benefits from a number of standardised management tools to support delivery, including a drumbeat tactical and strategic engagement structure and value release identification methodology. This cannot be done in isolation, so your passion to build and maintain a broad network of stakeholder relationships, with the ability to deliver change through others and influence outcomes across all levels of the organisation for mutual gain will be critical to make the difference.

Every day you will …

  • Evolve the supplier relationships on behalf of the organisation, ensuring that stakeholders are mapped and involved in all aspects throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Co-ordinate and track the development of value improvement activities, acting as the Project Management Office, to ensure that resources and outcomes are optimised
  • Develop your cross-directorate category knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of the end-to-end supply chains through working with commercial experts to support decision making
  • Influence cross-functionally across organisational boundaries to enable change

What can we offer you?

We want to reward you for your passion, enthusiasm, and hard work so we offer much more than a competitive salary:

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
