The Role
So Energy is undergoing an exciting transformation, working with a range of third-party partners to deliver critical Billing, Metering and Customer Operations services. We are recruiting for a Supplier Performance Analyst to play a key role in monitoring, analysing and improving the performance of these partners, ensuring they deliver excellent customer outcomes while operating efficiently and cost-effectively.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supplier performance reporting, invoice validation, GSOP management, commercial analysis and operational oversight of key metering activities. Acting as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners, they will identify performance trends, investigate issues, challenge inefficiencies and present data-driven solutions that improve operational and commercial outcomes.
The role will also support the coordination and reporting of So Energy's Smart Meter Installation Programme, including stakeholder communications, campaign activity and performance management. We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially aware individual who can work autonomously, is naturally inquisitive, and thrives on solving complex problems through data-led investigation and continuous improvement.

What you’ll be getting up to in this role:
- Act as the primary point of contact for validating invoices, charges and operational datasets received from third-party metering and industry partners.
- Investigate invoice discrepancies and data anomalies, working with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely resolution.
- Manage Metering-related GSOP processes, including GSOP uploads, RFIs, reconciliation activities and recovery of costs from third-party providers.
- Partner with Finance to ensure accurate accruals, forecasting and timely payment of supplier invoices.
- Maintain and enhance forecasting models for metering costs, stock requirements and operational activity.
- Own forecasting and reporting for metering stock ordering and returns logistics to support installer performance and contractual obligations.
- Create, maintain and develop reporting, dashboards and performance insights that monitor supplier performance, contractual adherence and business outcomes.
- Act as a key point of contact for Meter Operators, Meter Asset Providers, installers and other third-party service providers.
- Identify commercial opportunities, cost savings and process improvements through data analysis and supplier performance reviews.
- Investigate operational issues, identify root causes and present recommendations to improve customer outcomes, supplier performance and operational efficiency.
- Support the development and execution of So Energy's Smart Meter Installation Strategy.
- Coordinate elements of the smart meter rollout programme, including stakeholder communications, campaign support, customer engagement activity and performance reporting.
- Produce regular management information and strategic reporting to support decision-making and programme delivery.
- Work collaboratively with operational, finance and commercial teams to ensure delivery of key business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement by challenging existing processes and implementing data-led solutions.

You’re a great match if:
- You love what you do and enjoy solving complex problems, interested in data analysis, automation and improving business understanding and processes.
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required to be successful in this role.
- Capable of handling large datasets, reconciliations and validations.
- Experience creating reports, dashboards and performance insights using Excel, SQL, Power BI or equivalent tools.
- Comfortable challenging assumptions, identifying root causes and presenting solutions to stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines.
- You like to learn new skills and are able to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work autonomously towards a goal.
- Commercially aware with an interest in identifying efficiency improvements, cost savings and value opportunities.
