Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Supplier Quality Assurance role based in Kingston Upon Hull. The role is responsible for assessing and monitoring supplier performance to ensure materials and components meet Swift Group’s quality standards and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include conducting supplier evaluations and audits, reviewing and updating quality documentation, and working with suppliers to resolve non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions. The position involves collaborating closely with purchasing, engineering, and production teams to support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives. The Supplier Quality Assurance professional will also analyze data, report on supplier quality metrics, and contribute to the development and maintenance of the company’s quality management systems.

- Candidates should possess strong Supplier Evaluation skills, including assessing capabilities, risk, and performance.
- Candidates should possess Quality Assurance and Quality Control skills to maintain consistent standards across incoming materials and components.
- Candidates should possess Quality Auditing skills to plan, conduct, and document supplier audits and follow up on findings.
- Candidates should possess Quality Management skills to support and improve quality systems, processes, and documentation.
- Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments, ideally within automotive, leisure vehicles, or related sectors.
- Knowledge of relevant quality standards and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, root cause analysis, CAPA, statistical process control).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills for working with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work on-site in Kingston Upon Hull and travel to supplier locations as required.
- Relevant technical or engineering qualification; professional quality certifications are an advantage.
